Our A.I.M. Program
The A.I.M. Program is a 24-month program with a three-pronged approach to helping women gain economic independence,
form healthy relationships, stabilize their families, and build a strong faith.
1. Assisting women in meeting basic needs for clothing, food, shelter, and transportation is where we start. We want every woman, who chooses to leave an abusive relationship, to find the support she needs when she needs it most.
"An estimated 98% of abused women also experience 'financial abuse' in which their partner controls all the money. Between 21% and 60% of domestic violence victims lose their jobs due to issues that their abuser caused." National Coalition Against Domestic Violence
2. Investing in a woman's emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being is the second part of our approach. Our bi-weekly support group, as well as referrals for counseling, healthy living, legal advice and counsel, parenting, and spiritual retreats help women begin to move from a place of crisis to a place of stability.
"Every nine seconds in the U.S. a woman is assaulted or beaten." National Coalition Against Domestic Violence
3. Mentoring is the third part of our approach to serving women. With Volunteer Care Coordinators and one-on-one coaching, we mentor women to consistently put into practice the skills they learn in our program.
"Protective factors to prevent or reduce intimate partner violence are linked to quality friendships, social support, and available support services." Centers for Disease Control
