At The Women’s Advocacy Center, our aim is to contribute to a woman's emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. We do this through our A.I.M. Program. With a comprehensive focus on serving our clients, we consistently provide services that helps move women and their children through grief towards, healing, hope, and recovery.
We understand how hard it is for women to leave an abusive relationship, particularly when the abuser has been the primary earner. Reportedly, it takes seven times before a woman finally leaves an abuser for good. What causes her to remain and to return are obstacles to finding affordable childcare, housing, and transportation result in a victim remaining with an abuser or returning.
Our services are aimed at removing those obstacles for women. We won't ever ask, "Why didn't you leave?" or "Why did you return?" What we will ask is "How can we help?"
